Fortinet, Inc. in Sunnyvale, California, is seeking a beginner-to-intermediate Network Engineer to support 24x7 network operations. Based at Fortinet Headquarters, you will deploy and maintain Fortinet devices across the US and collaborate with global teams to ensure reliable network availability.

The role requires Fortinet NSE 4 certification along with strong English communication and teamwork skills. AA/BS degree in CS/Engineering is required, with on-site work and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• AA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent education and experience).
• Fortinet NSE 4 certification is a requirement for this position.
• Other certifications in network engineering are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy new communication network for Fortinet offices within the USA under guidance of senior engineers.
• Perform initial configurations of FortiGate, FortiSwitch, console servers, PDUs, and monitoring devices.
• Install and upgrade network hardware; configure firewall policies.
• Document network topologies and keep information up to date.
• Order devices, rack-mount, and cabling; respond to first-level support requests.
• Coordinate with users and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Travel about 7 times per year within the US for deployments and maintenance.
