Qualifications

Fluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus the ability to adapt stories into English as assigned.
Logs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with VOA’s digital asset management system.
Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

Writes and produces news and feature content and programming for broadcasts, web, and social media.
As assigned, during programs, serves as line producer and manages the timing and order of stories in broadcasts.
Conducts and writes up interviews for inclusion in assigned stories.
Adapts and/or translates content from English into native language and versions content back into English for distribution.
Participates in creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio, TV programs, and web/social media sections.
