Job summary

1X in San Carlos, CA is seeking a Global Supply Manager for Motors & Magnets to own sourcing strategy, supplier relationships, and supply continuity for motion system components. You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Development to scale from prototype to high-volume production.

You will negotiate favorable terms, drive cost improvements, and build a resilient global supplier network capable of supporting aggressive development timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in global sourcing, supply chain management, strategic sourcing, commodity management, or procurement.
• Direct experience sourcing motors, magnetic materials, gearboxes, actuators, or related electromechanical components.
• Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), production ramp-ups, and global supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for motors & magnets to deliver cost, quality, and capacity advantages.
• Secure supply continuity through supplier selection, capacity planning, and risk mitigation.
• Drive cost improvements via negotiations, value engineering, and supplier partnerships.
• Build and maintain a global supplier network to support rapid development and scale.
