Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Senior Director of Events to design and deliver high-impact field engagement experiences across the US and Canada. You will oversee large-scale meetings, incentive trips, and recognition events, partnering with executive leadership to reinforce the WFG and TFA value proposition.

Role requires 12+ years in financial services leadership, extensive travel (>50%), and a proven track record of budget management and vendor partnerships.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience within financial services, insurance, wealth management, sales, marketing, field engagement or relations functions.
• 8+ years of people management experience building engaging and productive work environments
• Knowledge of insurance, brokerage, wholesale/marketing organizations
• Demonstrated success leading complex, large-scale events, conferences, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives.
• Demonstrated expertise in budget planning and management, contract administration, and vendor partnership management
• Proven ability to develop and leverage KPIs, metrics, and analytics to drive business decisions
• Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to influence outcomes with executive leaders and field leadership

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the VP Field Relations, design and execute a comprehensive meetings and events strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the planning and execution of large-scale national and international meetings, conferences, leadership forums, incentive trips and recognition events.
• Achieve ROI and expense targets, manage budgets, lead vendor selection and contract negotiations.
• Partner with CX & Marketing to develop integrated communications strategies and event marketing materials.
• Lead and develop a high-performing events team through effective talent management.
• Coordinate with Distribution, Field Training, and Product to strengthen market position and manage recognition programs.
