Job summary

Dematic is seeking Mechanical Engineers to join our Global Project Engineering team. The role involves designing complex systems that integrate mechanical hardware with controls and software, with on-site support across multiple hub locations in Grand Rapids, MI, Milwaukee, WI, Atlanta, GA, or Plano, TX.

Ideal candidates hold a BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience, are proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar), and have strong collaboration skills to work with

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of industry related experience.
• Proficient in Cad design software; AutoCAD or similar.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Teams.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the design of complex systems that integrate mechanical hardware, controls components, and software.
• Supports in complex material specification and preparation of engineering sketches, manufacture equipment, and layout drawings.
• Participates in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and customer satisfaction.
• Creates and checks layouts, Bills of Materials for compliance to engineering standards, safety requirements and customer specifications.
• Participates in design reviews with cross functional team members to identify and resolve problems.
• Follows Purchase Request and Order Entry processes to purchase equipment.
• Works with team members and customer to solve problems and troubleshoot equipment on-site.
• Performs site audits to collect project and solution information.
• Supports on-site installation and engineering commissioning efforts.
