Job summary

Anton Paar QuantaTec Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, test and develop analytical lab instrumentation. The role focuses on conceptualizing components, documenting designs, and ensuring quality through the engineering process.

The position requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 3–5 years of experience, and CAD proficiency with NX, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or Catia. Strong GD&T and fabrication know-how are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ experience in the engineering field.
• Experience with CAD packages: NX, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or Catia.
• Strong knowledge of integrating material selections into designs for manufacturability.
• Ability to design sheet metal parts and understand fabrication processes.
• Knowledge of machining processes including milling and turning; material finishes for metals and plastics.
• Ability to create fully defined 3D solids and 2D drawings through prototyping to manufacturing.
• Understanding of GD&T and tolerance calculations.

Responsibilities

• Design, test and document components of the engineering process for each product.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support existing products and new development.
• Deliver work assignments on time and within budget per quality standards.
