Job summary

Anton Paar QuantaTec is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead cross-functional hardware development for analytical instrumentation. You will integrate modules, optimize PCBs, and develop robust schematics while ensuring regulatory compliance and reliability.

The role focuses on analog front-end design, digital interfaces, and signal conditioning across instrument subsystems. Travel may be required to support customers and partners globally, contributing to a culture of innovative device

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of professional electrical design experience for analytical or scientific instrumentation
• Hands-on multi-layer PCB design and layout experience
• Experience with analog front-end design and sensor signal conditioning
• Experience with reliability, regulatory compliance and component selection

Responsibilities

• Combine circuit modules into cohesive instrument designs with CE/UL/CSA compliance
• Develop and optimize PCBs in Zuken balancing compactness and signal integrity
• Create clear schematics reflecting modern design patterns and BOMs
• Interface sensors and subsystems for reliable data acquisition and communication
• Implement and troubleshoot diverse digital protocols (Ethernet, USB, CAN, I2C, RS485/RS232)
• Advance EMI/EMC shielding and ground-plane strategies for compliance
• Build and test NSP instrument prototypes and validate performance
• Travel domestically or internationally as needed
