Job summary

Rawson in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Materials Coordinator/Inside Sales Rep to manage order processing, packing, and the flow of materials according to production and shipping schedules.

The role also provides sales and technical service support: taking orders, quoting, checking item availability, pricing questions, returns/credits, and parts ordering for customers. It involves inbound/outbound material coordination and carrier liaison.

Qualifications

• Effective communications skills – verbal and written.
• Understanding of basic products and services.
• Processing all sales order shipments in an efficient and timely manner; within 24 hours of receipt of pick ticket or item receipt from inbound PO.
• Verifying the quantity and the description of the material being shipped matches what is printed on the packing slip.
• Ensuring that all product and material is shipped to the correct address; international shipments incl. packing lists, bills of lading, invoices.

Responsibilities

• Order processing, picking, packing, and coordinating flow of materials per schedules.
• Provide quotes, research item availability, pricing questions, returns and credits, parts ordering.
• Handle inbound and outbound material for internal and external customers.
• Call couriers for pickup and manage shipments with carriers.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory discrepancies and annual counts.
