Job summary

AQR is seeking a Trading Operations Analyst / Associate to join the Portfolio Management Operations team. The role supports global trading across equities, fixed income, FX, futures, and derivatives, ensuring accurate execution, booking, and lifecycle management of trades with brokers and market participants.

The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, and comfortable using data and technology to improve processes; exposure to automation and data analysis is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a finance/tech-related field.
• 1–3 years in investment operations or trading support.
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and Bloomberg proficiency.
• Bloomberg Terminal proficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Support trade lifecycle across asset classes from execution to settlement.
• Monitor workflows; investigate trade, booking, and settlement exceptions.
• Coordinate with internal/external counterparties to resolve issues.
• Support daily production processes and end-of-day controls.
• Assist with corporate actions, FX workflows, and portfolio implementation.
• Own issues across trading and P&L systems and drive resolution.
