Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an Enterprise Architect to define an architectural vision aligned with enterprise strategy across Global Markets. You will oversee end-to-end solution design, ensure architectural runway for new epics, and govern technology spend while collaborating with stakeholders and services providers.

The role requires excellent communication, analytical skills, and a broad IT background to lead across multiple domains and drive strategic technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• BSc-level degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with enterprise-level technology strategy in an architecture organization.
• Experience in Financial Services within Global Markets (Trading or Post-Trade).
• Application development knowledge (enterprise apps, distributed services).
• Certification or experience in architectural methodologies and standards (UML, BPMN).
• Architecture, quality and productivity methodologies (Six Sigma, etc.).
• Knowledge of modern application development and deployment (CI/CD).
• Broad IT knowledge across hardware, software, middleware, databases, cloud.

Responsibilities

• Consult with business to identify challenges and opportunities to improve technology use.
• Plan and prioritize architecture-focused backlog items for epics/features.
• Perform design and code reviews to ensure non-functional requirements are met.
• Shape high-level architecture and keep it flexible and modular.
• Educate team on best practices and standards.
• Clarify architecture and assist with system design for development teams.
• Create architectural designs and improve templates and guidelines.
• Participate in architecture governance and decision processes.
• Support vendor selection and build vs. buy decisions.
