Job summary

Goldman Sachs in New York, NY seeks a Global Markets Compliance Officer to help prevent, detect and mitigate regulatory and reputational risk across the division by articulating and upholding the standards of conduct required by laws and firm policies.

You will collaborate with Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology and Internal Audit to design controls, training and procedures that align with regulatory expectations and market practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 0–3 years compliance, regulatory or financial services experience.
• Knowledge of broker-dealers, swap dealers and related regulations.
• Understanding of equities markets and products preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple regulatory projects under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day line Compliance coverage for Global Markets Division.
• Advise on conducting business in compliance with rules and regulations.
• Assess new initiatives and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Represent Compliance in cross-divisional projects.
• Develop and maintain Compliance policies and procedures.
• Create and implement Compliance training programs.
• Assist with regulatory examinations and inquiries.
• Perform look-backs and manage compliance escalations.
• Analyze new laws to formulate practical solutions.
