The Opportunity

The Category Lead for Equine reports to the Senior Vice President, within our new global marketing and technical excellence function. As the Category Lead for Equine, you will be responsible for developing and executing a holistic portfolio strategy that maximises the value of the category and promotes sustainable growth.

You will be developing and implementing the category's long-term strategic plan, spearheading innovation, leveraging customer insights and segmentation, and ensuring product launch excellence to maximize commercial impact and customer value.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope, and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Setting strategic priorities for the category by aggregating insights from market research, regional/local teams, technical experts, product and business development and regulatory affairs.
  • Partnering with product development, regulatory, and commercial teams to prioritize new product development initiatives.
  • Planning, coordinating and leading go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches, ensuring seamless cross-functional coordination, aligning to ensure delivery of strategic objectives
  • Developing compelling value propositions, messaging, and commercial strategies to maximize adoption and market penetration by translating 'One Dechra' branding into actionable materials, product specific insights through product level branding and positioning guidelines or regional/local teams.
  • Tracking and analyzing launch performance, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Providing strategic guidance to marketing teams in local markets to ensure alignment and excellence in execution.
  • Managing relationships with key external stakeholders, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), industry associations, and distribution partners.
