Job summary

TOPWERK America, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Localization Engineer to drive localization and manufacturing initiatives across North America.

Based in North Houston, you will collaborate with European and North American teams to localize components, ensure quality, and optimize cost efficiency while preserving fit, form, and function. You will work with SolidWorks, SAP, and ERP/MRP systems to redesign parts for NA manufacturing, coordinate supplier qualification, and maintain localization

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Strong understanding of machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
Knowledge of North American (ASTM/ANSI) and European (ISO/DIN/EN) standards.
Experience with 3D CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, ideally SAP.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in international teams.
Willingness to travel throughout North America and occasionally internationally.
Valid driver's license and passport.
German and/or Spanish language skills are a plus but not required

Responsibilities

Spare Parts Localization: Analyze spare parts demand and identify high-potential localization opportunities.
Engineering & Product Adaptation: Convert German ISO-based designs into North American manufacturing standards.
Quality Assurance: Perform incoming inspections of localized components and support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
