Old Mission Capital is seeking a Fundamental Research Analyst to support our International Trading desk in Chicago. You will conduct global news research and produce insights that inform trading strategies, working closely with desk leads to generate actionable reports.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, market curiosity, and effective communication in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Experience in finance and familiarity with major data services are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant work experience in a Research Analyst role.
• A demonstrable passion for the financial markets and problem solving.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong quantitative, analytical and research-oriented skill set.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg and Reuters.
• Programming skills in Python will get you bonus points.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze news/events/information that will impact our trading groups and report pertinent information.
• Support traders by being the sole point of contact for conducting research and following global macro events.
• Collaborate with small trading groups on analyzing data and developing new ideas/tools.
