Old Mission, a global proprietary trading firm, seeks a Fundamental Research Analyst to support its International Trading desk in Chicago. You will identify and analyze global news and events to uncover trading opportunities and produce actionable reports for traders.

You will collaborate with desk leads, stay current on market developments, and contribute to real-time trading decisions. A quantitative mindset, strong communication, and exposure to financial markets are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field required.
• 1+ years of relevant work experience as a Research Analyst.
• Strong interest in financial markets and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and research-oriented skill set.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg and Reuters.
• Python programming is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze news/events that impact trading groups and report pertinent information.
• Support traders by conducting research and monitoring global macro events affecting prices.
• Collaborate with small trading teams to analyze data for patterns and develop ideas/tools.
