Job summary

Point72 is seeking a Senior Compliance professional to support macro trading activities, focusing on adherence to firm policies and external regulations. You will guide the macro team on compliance practices, perform investigations, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to maintain strong controls.

The role requires JD, bar admission, and at least 3 years of macro/trading compliance experience in a hedge fund or asset management environment. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and bar admission are required.
• Minimum 3 years of compliance experience supporting macro or trading businesses.
• Experience overseeing compliance for macro products (rates, FX, credit, commodities, derivatives).
• Practical experience analyzing laws and regulations related to commodity interests and securities (SEC Rule 10b-5, CFTC Rule 180.1, MNPI).
• Designing and operating trade surveillance, pre-trade controls, and post-trade investigative workflows.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and engage senior stakeholders under time pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance to the Global Macro business covering rates, FX, emerging markets, credit, asset-backed securities, and macro derivatives strategies
• Partner with macro portfolio managers and trading teams to embed and enforce practical, real-time compliance controls
• Support pre-trade and post-trade monitoring programs and investigative processes to detect and resolve trading, market conduct, and policy breaches
• Assist with diligence reviews and approvals for new products, markets, brokers, and counterparties
• Conduct complex compliance reviews and investigations, produce findings and remediation plans, and manage escalations
• Coordinate with legal, risk, operations, finance, technology, and vendors to implement and enhance compliance solutions
• Assist with regulatory readiness and responses to inquiries or examinations related to macro trading activities
• Monitor global regulatory developments affecting macro markets and translate changes into policy updates and processes
• Conduct macro-based compliance training for macro teams
• Chaperone calls and meetings between macro investment professionals and third parties
• Collaborate with macro management to support oversight and compliance initiatives
• Serve as a subject-matter expert to the broader Compliance team and investment professionals on policies and procedures
