Job summary

Lapmaster Wolters, a Chicago-area leader in precision machine tools, seeks a logistics professional to oversee the product life cycle, supply chain, warehousing, transportation, and inventory. You will track shipments, negotiate with freight carriers, reconcile stock levels, and ensure compliance with global trade regulations to optimize delivery efficiency.

Key duties include coordinating inbound/outbound shipments, customs documentation, and liaising with vendors and customers to meet delivery

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics and 3–5+ years of trade compliance or customs brokerage experience.
Proficiency with enterprise software systems (e.g., SAP GTS, Oracle GTM).
Strong knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS).
Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee the product life cycle logistics, warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
Track shipments, negotiate with freight carriers, and optimize routing to reduce costs.
Prepare bills of lading, manage customs clearance paperwork, and ensure regulatory compliance.
