Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC in Houston seeks a Logistics and Trade Compliance Manager to oversee domestic and international shipments, ensuring smooth flow of goods and strict compliance with U.S. regulations and international trade requirements.

You will lead the logistics team, optimize transportation processes, manage vendor relations, analyze KPIs, and drive improvements while championing Safety First across all operations, safety, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is required, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in managing import/export logistics and compliance with complex trade regulations (7–10 years) preferred.
• Customs Broker license is advantageous.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the logistics workforce and warehouse personnel, overseeing training programs that enhance team capabilities and professional growth.
• Design and optimize transportation processes, ensuring adherence to DOT regulations and company safety standards while maximizing cost-efficiency across multimodal transport solutions.
• Establish and maintain robust relationships with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and logistics vendors. Lead contract negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable service levels.
• Analyze logistics metrics and KPIs to monitor performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives that support strategic business objectives and operational excellence.
• Spearhead trade compliance initiatives, ensuring all import/export activities comply with international regulatory standards, including auditing HTS codes and managing duty drawback claims and Temporary Import Bonds effectively.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, procurement, and customer service teams to resolve logistics challenges promptly and to uphold excellent service delivery.
• Champion the company's "Safety First" policy by integrating sustainable and safe practices into all logistics operations to protect people, products, and the environment.
• Take initiative to perform any other logistics or trade compliance duties as the business evolves and needs arise.
