AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is hiring an Operations Supervisor to lead the operations team, manage performance, and develop staff across a global network.

You will coordinate shipments, optimize carrier selection, and ensure timely, cost-effective execution of inbound and outbound movements. The role requires 3–5 years in freight forwarding or transportation, with proficiency in AS400, Cargowise, McLeod, and Microsoft Office.

• Experience: 3-5 years in freight forwarding or transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and service levels for logistics operations, ensuring cost‑effective, traceable movement of goods inbound and outbound.
• Supervise staff directly or via coaching, including performance, assignments, and training.
• Arrange pickups and deliveries with transportation providers and route drivers.
• Communicate with trucking firms, customers, brokers, sales teams and vendors; evaluate quotes and select carriers.
• Ensure lowest-cost transportation meets customer and company needs.
• Oversee daily routes and shipment progress; manage weekend cartage setup.
• Exercise judgement in staffing decisions and tailor communication to audiences.
• Maintain strong relationships with employees and vendors; demonstrate leadership and safety.
• Lead by example, promoting high performance and safe working practices.
