Job Description
Duties:
- The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and managing all domestic and international shipments, as well as receiving incoming materials into inventory.
- The position ensures that international shipments comply with customs rules and regulations.
- Plan, prepare, and process export, import, and trans-border activities by country.
- Work with Trade Compliance to conduct day-to-day trade activities, ensuring international shipments are compliant, including managing shipping documentation, export license determination, Harmonized System Code (HS) classification, valuation, and Incoterms.
- This role involves significant interaction with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Production, Quality Assurance, and Sales & Marketing teams.
- Follow proper business practices and standards as dictated by 5S practices.
Requirements:
- Experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Experience in international trade compliance is a plus.
- Strong experience in Global Freight Forwarding and Customhouse Broker operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of customs regimes such as harmonized tariff schedules, customs valuations, controlled products, country-specific regulations, free trade programs, import VAT rules, and US laws regarding banned/boycotted countries is a plus.
- Understanding of transportation contracts.
- Continuous training and research in all foreign countries' Customs import and export Regulatory Compliance requirements.
- Excellent MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
