Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in the United States (Illinois) is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage movement of goods from suppliers to customers and ensure on-time, on-budget shipments. You will track shipments, manage inventory levels, and resolve issues that arise during the shipping process.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail, plus knowledge of transportation regulations and Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
Experience working in a transportation or logistics company is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the movement of goods from suppliers to customers.
Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to specs.
Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs documents.
Track shipments and manage inventory levels.
Resolve issues during shipping, including delays, damages, or lost shipments.
Maintain accurate records of all shipping transactions.
Monitor transportation costs and work to minimize expenses.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
