Job summary

Astemo, Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Import/Export coordinator to manage daily freight activities, HTS classification, and local content reporting. You will work with international forwarders, customers, and internal teams to ensure compliance and accurate documentation.

The role requires familiarity with customs processes, insurance of timely reporting, and ability to improve I/E processes. Office and shop floor environment with light physical demands are expected.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
• Ability to communicate and represent ASTEMO professionally with customers.
• Preferred: 2 years of Import/Export experience including HTS classification and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activity with international freight forwarders, warehouse personnel, and production control.
• Oversee import/export compliance and evaluate Customs Broker performance.
• Manage HTS classification and local content reporting programs.
• Contribute to process improvements within the I/E group.
• Maintain accurate country of origin data in shipping systems.
• Oversee freight activities including milk run planning, LTL routing, and freight billing audits.
• Interact with procurement and customer service to ensure comprehensive reporting.
• Handle reporting to customers and government as required.
• Work in office and shop floor environments; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
