Job summary

OpenAI in San Francisco seeks an ITAV Event Technical Producer to lead technical production for internal and external events across multiple sites, from planning through debrief.

You will align with Internal Comms, Marketing, Brand Experience, and Workplace, configure live audio/video systems, coordinate global crews, and build reusable runbooks and AI workflows to improve readiness and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex live or hybrid productions across multiple teams.
• Advanced expertise in live-production domains and diagnosing complex interactions across signal paths.
• Experience configuring and operating professional production systems and creating reusable show files or control workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical production for complex internal, hybrid, and distributed events from early planning through rehearsal, live delivery, and debrief.
• Align Internal Comms, Marketing, Brand Experience, and Workplace on audience goals, requirements, scope, dependencies, and decision owners.
• Configure and operate live audio, video switching, cameras, playback, conferencing, streaming, and recording systems for the agreed production.
• Integrate the run of show across sites and lead multiple crews globally for all-company events.
• Lead rehearsals and validate the complete audience experience, including remote contribution, backup paths.
• Independently prioritize technical production tradeoffs and lead risk reviews and incident response.
• Build reusable production plans, show files, runbooks, and change-control practices.
• Set a prioritized roadmap for production improvements using audience feedback, debriefs, and recurring failures.
• Identify repeatable production work and build AI and agentic workflows with partner teams.
