CNA is seeking a Global Head of Life Sciences to lead CNA’s U.S. Small Business and Middle Market Life Sciences units.

You will drive strategy, portfolio performance, underwriting excellence, and talent development while aligning with enterprise goals in a rapidly evolving sector. As a senior executive, you will mentor high-performing teams, foster industry partnerships, and ensure profitable growth through disciplined portfolio management and market leadership across global Lifesciences

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred.
• Typically 12+ years of related work experience, with seven years management experience.
• CPCU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of CNA’s U.S. Small Business and Middle Market Life Sciences businesses.
• Develop and execute global portfolio strategies to drive profitable growth and strengthen competitive positioning.
• Serve as a trusted thought leader to global counterparts with consultative guidance and technical support.
• Partner with Distribution, Product, Actuarial, Finance, Claims, Risk Control, and Operations to drive profitable growth.
• Champion underwriting excellence by setting high standards for risk selection and governance.
• Strengthen market presence through broker engagement and development of sales and underwriting capabilities.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing underwriting organization with accountability and collaboration.
• Attract, develop and retain top talent to support current and future business needs.
