Job summary

The U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, DC seeks a qualified IT specialist at GS levels to manage complex networking initiatives, deploy secure architectures, and coordinate global network operations including COMSEC and SVTC.

Qualifications

• Education must include at least 24 semester hours in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
• GG-07: One full year of graduate level education; or Bachelor’s degree with superior academic achievement.
• GG-09: Master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree; OR two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master’s degree or equivalent.
• GG-11 and above: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree; OR three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex activities and initiatives with good judgment and principles.
• Anticipate issues, resolve conflicts among priorities, and implement effective solutions to prevent delays.
• Prepare and deliver original presentations and papers on complex topics for varied audiences.
• Deploy and support advanced networking systems, architecture, and security tools across enterprise environments.
• Oversee day-to-day management of a global operational network, coordinating troubleshooting, COMSEC management, ASI management, SVTC operations and circuit management.
