Job summary

Evotec SE is seeking an IT Internal Auditor (all genders) for its Hamburg HQ to contribute to the global Internal Audit function. The role focuses on testing general IT controls, application controls, and key reports within the SOX framework, across IT governance, security, and operations.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in IT IT auditing, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while traveling nationally and internationally up to about 15% of the time.

Qualifications

• Degree in information systems, computer science, business, or related field.
• 1–3 years IT or IT auditing experience with knowledge of data governance/management, internal control systems or SOX and data analytics.
• Proven ability to work independently with limited direction and guide other audit team members.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present to peers and management.
• Good knowledge of internal control requirements, accounting processes and audit practices.
• SOX experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills and ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
• Excellent presentation skills to all hierarchical levels.
• Professional language skills in English; knowledge of another European language is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (approx. 15%).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the global Internal Audit function and work with the Senior IT Auditor and Head of Internal Audit.
• Perform testing of general IT controls, application controls, and key reports within SOX testing cycle.
• Conduct IT audits at governance, security and operations levels.
• Develop and support tools/techniques for data-enabled internal audit.
• Support business auditors in integrated audits.
• Communicate findings clearly to process and control owners and document requirements.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.
