Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global IT Project Manager - Infrastructure to lead strategic IT infrastructure initiatives across the power grid ecosystem. You will guide cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders from concept through delivery, ensuring secure, scalable, and future-ready systems.

This role requires 15+ years in IT infrastructure PMO, strong leadership, PMP, and the ability to work in EST.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure project management (PMO).
• Proven success delivering IT projects in a matrixed organization.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Deep understanding of Waterfall methodologies with Agile execution capabilities.
• Network and industrial construction experience a plus.
• Candidate must already have work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. This role will not provide sponsorship currently or in the future.
• Candidate must live Eastern Standard Time (EST) in the United States of America.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic IT infrastructure projects from planning through delivery.
• Collaborate with technical teams to define scope, requirements, and solutions.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Facilitate stakeholder communications and executive reporting.
• Monitor progress and ensure governance across all phases.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, and change requests.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment.
• Drive successful outcomes in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
