Job summary

Ascot Group is seeking a senior leader to head its Investment Operations function in Stamford, CT. The role focuses on building a scalable operating model, data quality, and technology enablement to support long‑term portfolio growth.

The successful candidate will drive analytics, reporting, and governance across investments, accounting, treasury, and risk, while balancing hands-on execution with strategic platform design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 10+ years in investment operations within insurers, reinsurers, institutional asset owners or asset managers.
• At least 3 years leading an operations function or owning it end to end.
• Direct experience supporting insurance/reinsurance portfolios across multi-asset classes.
• Experience with private equity and alternatives, including capital calls and illiquid valuations (preferred).
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools, automation, dashboards, or workflow tech to improve reporting and efficiency (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead recurring investment reporting, dashboards, financial analysis, and operational reporting.
• Oversee portfolio operations workflows, tracking, reconciliations, compliance, and controls.
• Maintain and enhance investment data for reporting integrity and insights.
• Support development and adoption of proprietary investment operations platforms.
• Collaborate with investment, finance, technology, operations, and portfolio teams.
• Identify opportunities to automate, improve controls, and boost reporting efficiency.
• Lead platform testing, documentation, onboarding materials, and change management.
• Build and lead the investment operations function with scalable infrastructure.
