In this global role, you will partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Quality, Customer Service, and IT to maintain controls, run cycle counts, and prepare KPI reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years in inventory management, warehouse operations, or related field.
  • 2+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
  • Hands-on SAP inventory management experience including transactions and reconciliation.
  • Experience with SAP WM/EWM and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-collection skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and inventory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliations across locations.
  • Develop KPIs and reporting to track trends and performance.
  • Support month-end/year-end inventory close and audits.

Position Summary:The Global Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, material movements, stock control, and inventory-related processes across global operations. This role ensures inventory is properly received, transferred, issued, adjusted, counted, and reconciled across warehouses, manufacturing locations, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and other business units.The position serves as a key operational resource for SAP inventory management, coordinating inventory movements, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining strong controls over inventory accuracy, traceability, and financial integrity. The Global Inventory Supervisor partners closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Quality, Customer Service, and IT to ensure effective inventory management and continuous process improvement.Duties & Responsibilities:Supervise global inventory activities across multiple warehouses, manufacturing sites, distribution centers, and third-party logistics locationsCoordinate and monitor inventory movements between plants, storage locations, warehouses, distribution centers, and other company facilities.Review and execute SAP inventory movement transactions, including goods receipts, goods issues, stock transfers, inventory adjustments, returns, and other material movement activities.Ensure inventory transactions are accurately processed in SAP and completed in accordance with established procedures, internal controls, and business requirements.Monitor inventory balances and transaction activity to identify discrepancies, unusual activity, and potential inventory control issues.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by coordinating cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory reconciliations, and root-cause analysis across global locations.Establish and maintain inventory control processes to support accurate, timely, and traceable inventory transactions.Monitor inventory accuracy KPIs and develop reporting to identify trends, recurring issues, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.Review inventory transaction errors and coordinate timely correction of posting, movement, and master-data issues.Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, Quality, Customer Service, and IT to resolve inventory-related issues and improve processes.Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and inventory control processes.Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails for inventory movements, adjustments, reconciliations, and other inventory transactions.Support month-end and year-end inventory close activities, including inventory reconciliations, adjustments, reporting, and coordination with Finance.Support internal and external audits by providing inventory records, transaction history, reconciliation documentation, and other requested information.Coordinate with 3PL partners and global warehouse teams to ensure adherence to inventory control procedures, transaction requirements, and service expectations.Monitor and support inventory transfers, including intercompany and inter-site movements, to ensure accurate documentation and system processing.Provide guidance and training to warehouse and operations personnel on inventory procedures, SAP transactions, and inventory control requirements.Promote consistent inventory management practices across global locations and help standardize processes where appropriate.Other duties as needed or required.Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Logistics, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, supply chain, materials management, or a related field.2+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity.Experience managing inventory across multiple warehouses, manufacturing sites, distribution centers, or 3PL environments.Hands-on experience with SAP inventory management, including inventory transactions, stock transfers, goods movements, adjustments, and inventory reconciliation.Strong understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, physical inventories, inventory reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.Experience working cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Quality, and IT teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience developing inventory reports, metrics, and analyses.Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting inventory management within a manufacturing or medical device environment.Experience working with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC.Experience with SAP Warehouse Management (WM) or Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).Experience working with third-party logistics providers and international distribution networks.Experience supporting ERP implementations, system enhancements, or inventory process optimization.Lean, Six Sigma, APICS/ASCM, or other supply chain-related certification.Experience with inventory-related financial controls and month-end/year-end close processes.
