Job summary

Five9 is seeking an experienced senior internal communications leader to own the strategy, calendar, and messaging architecture that keep employees informed and aligned across a globally distributed workforce.

You will manage the intranet, email, and messaging platforms, set localization standards, and partner with People and Legal on major changes and acquisitions, ensuring consistent, credible communication across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in internal communications, employee communications, or a closely related field.
• Public company internal communications experience is required — the earnings cadence, quiet period and blackout discipline.
• Hands-on proficiency with modern AI tools and a clear point of view on their application to communications work.
• Bachelor’s degree required in communications, journalism, organizational development, marketing, or a related discipline; advanced degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the internal communications strategy — the approach, calendar, and message architecture that keep employees informed, aligned, and connected to the company’s direction.
• Own the internal communications channel and platform stack — intranet, email, and messaging channels — including platform decisions and the budget behind them.
• Arbitrate sequencing and volume across the company to keep the internal channel credible and focused.
• Lead employee communications for acquisitions and integration with timely, clear messaging.
• Own how AI adoption is communicated internally and introduce new tools in a way that ensures adoption.
• Coordinate localization and time-zone standards for a globally distributed workforce.
