Job summary

The Sazerac Company in Louisville is seeking a Manager, Global Intercompany Accounting to lead the global intercompany accounting activities, ensure US GAAP compliance, and partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Tax, Treasury, and Shared Service to design scalable transaction flows and maintain a strong control environment supporting the Company’s growth.

Responsibilities include owning intercompany policies, leading month-end close for multiple entities, and driving process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and consolidated financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• CPA, or equivalent professional designation.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Own intercompany accounting policies, procedures, and controls and design compliant transaction flows.
• Lead month-end and year-end close, settlements and eliminations for multiple entities.
• Oversee reconciliations and resolution of differences, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Identify process improvements, drive automation, and coordinate ERP initiatives.
• Establish KPIs to monitor intercompany balances and aging, with audits support.
• Collaborate with Tax, Transfer Pricing and business teams on entity flows.

Job Description/Responsibilities

The Manager,Global Intercompany Accounting is responsible for leading the global intercompany accounting activities. This role owns the governance, accounting, reconciliation, and elimination of intercompany transactions in compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal controls. The position partners closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Tax, Treasury, and Shared Service to design scalable transaction flows and maintain a strong control environment supporting the Company’s global growth strategy.

Priorities

• Own intercompany accounting policies, procedures, and controls. o Partner with business stakeholders to design and implement compliant intercompany transaction flows for new products, markets, legal entities, acquisitions, and business initiatives. o Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Statutory reporting, and company internal control standards.
• Manage the end-to-end intercompany accounting process for multiple manufacturing entities and business units. o Lead month-end and year-end close activities for intercompany transactions, settlement and eliminations for consolidated financial reporting. o Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual intercompany reconciliations and drive timely resolution of differences.
• Identify and implement process improvements that reduce manual activity and improve accuracy, visibility, and efficiency. o Partner with Finance and IT teams on ERP implementations, system enhancements, automation initiatives, and master data governance. o Establish reporting and KPIs to monitor intercompany balances, aging, settlements, and exception management.
• Collaborate with Tax and Transfer Pricing teams to ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies and documentation requirements. o Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to evaluate and establish appropriate legal entity transaction flows for new business activities, acquisitions, product launches, and organizational changes. o Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Lead, coach and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence and continuous improvement. o Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for intercompany accounting matters.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or relevant experience
• Strong understanding of u.s. gaap and consolidated financial reporting
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced microsoft excel skills
• Cpa, or equivalent professional designation
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience

PREFERRED

• 3+ years supporting intercompany accounting or consolidations
• Experience in multinational manufacturing or consumer packaged goods and consolidated reporting
• Experience with oracle, sap or similar large erp environment
