Job summary

Stetson University seeks a Director of Global Initiatives to provide strategic leadership for the institution's international education programs, including study abroad, international student and scholar services, and campus internationalization.

The role reports to the Provost and Academic Affairs and collaborates across faculties and administrative units to expand global learning opportunities and strengthen the university's international presence.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in international education or related field.
• At least five years of progressive leadership in international education or higher education administration.
• Expertise in education abroad, international student and scholar services, and global partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for international education programs and campus internationalization.
• Lead development and management of global partnerships and MOUs with external counsel.
• Oversee education abroad operations, including study abroad programs and J-1 exchange activities.
• Develop faculty engagement and professional development for global learning initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with immigration regulations and SEVIS reporting; act as DSO/RO when applicable.
• Prepare reports for senior leadership, donors, and the Board of Trustees.
