Job summary

Alibaba Cloud's infrastructure operations team in Sunnyvale is seeking a senior leader to architect and govern end-to-end colocation and electrical/HVAC reliability across global locations.

You will establish risk governance, drive vendor oversight, and coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, colo providers, and platform vendors to meet reliability, safety, and efficiency targets, while traveling internationally up to 30-40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure operations or related roles.
• Proven track record in vendor governance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Build governance over colocation providers, risk management, and service quality.
• Develop and enforce operational standards, audits, and performance benchmarks.
• Establish risk governance frameworks and proactive risk identification across regions.
• Drive telemetry access, data quality, and alarm management with providers and internal teams.
• Review and validate electrical and HVAC automation control logic for reliability and safety.
• Identify risks and drive mitigation plans to closure across colo infrastructure.
• Oversee commissioning and tuning of electrical/HVAC automation systems and acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with global HQ on strategy, standards, and regional capability building.
