Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Technology Infrastructure Engineer to own and support global production platforms in a follow-the-sun model. You will ensure high availability for regulated banking apps and lead high-level technical concepts across technology and business.

You will design and test complex infrastructure, develop specs for systems, and drive automation, security reviews, and system upgrades. This role requires strong scripting, cloud, and Agile experience in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
3+ years of application production support experience for web applications in Linux environments using Apache, Tomcat, F5 LTM, and AVI migration
3+ years of technical troubleshooting experience using AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Glassbox, and Dynatrace
Experience publishing and maintaining technical documentation
3+ years leading implementations and supporting production changes using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and uDeploy
3+ years scripting and automation experience
3+ years with Ansible, Salt, Python, and PowerShell
2+ years migrating legacy applications to Pivotal Cloud Foundry and other cloud platforms
2+ years of Kafka messaging and Apache Tomcat
2+ years with in-memory databases such as Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra
2+ years with Kubernetes and OpenShift
Ability to work on call as assigned
Ability to work additional hours as needed
Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment

Desired: 4+ years of Web Services experience
Desired: 4+ years of Perl or Shell experience
Desired: 4+ years completing BCP activities
Desired: 3+ years of Thousand Eyes and Synthetic Monitoring
Desired: 3+ years of application modernization and data center migration
Desired: 4+ years with Agile, Kanban, or Lean methodology
Practical knowledge of ITIL application processes and implementation
Experience with Ansible automation tool
Knowledge of cloud computing, PaaS design principles, microservices, and containers
Experience with Agile Scrum and Kanban
JIRA experience
Advanced scripting for automation, log rotation, data collection, error collection, and alerting
Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders, leadership, service providers, and architecture teams
Professional communication skills
Experience building partnerships and consulting with leadership
Ability to influence and collaborate across organizational levels
1+ year of Microsoft Windows 2012–16 Server support experience

Responsibilities

Own and support global production platforms in follow-the-sun support models
Ensure high availability for regulated banking applications

Develop long-range plans to resolve problems and prevent recurrence
Direct daily risk and control operations, focusing on policies, procedures, and work standards
Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
