Job summary

Bunzl in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Import Transportation Coordinator to oversee the movement of imported products from origin to destination and to optimize transportation costs and service. This role collaborates with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and cross‑functional teams to improve efficiency and cost savings.

Full‑time onsite, Monday–Friday, with opportunities to develop analytics, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills in a global supply chain setting.

Qualifications

Internship, coursework, or experience related to supply chain, logistics, transportation, operations, or international business is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily communication with ocean carriers, drayage providers, freight forwarders, and internal partners.
Assist with carrier selection and transportation planning for cost-effective movement of imported goods.
Maintain transportation rates, routing information, and logistics data.
Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for improvements and savings.
Support freight claim investigations and resolution activities.
