Job summary

Equilibrium seeks an Intermediate Hydrogeologist to join our growing Hydrogeology team. You’ll plan and deliver hydrogeological investigations, coordinate field programs, analyze groundwater data, and develop conceptual models to support engineering, mining and natural resource projects.

You will work with senior hydrogeologists and multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior staff, contributing to proposals, and helping advance practical, field-proven solutions in a flexible hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of relevant hydrogeology consulting or industry experience.
• Experience planning and executing hydrogeological investigations, groundwater monitoring, drilling, well installation and development, sampling, and hydraulic testing.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting hydrogeological data, aquifer testing, and developing conceptual hydrogeological models.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical reports, presentations, work plans, proposals, and other consulting deliverables.
• Proficiency with Excel, GIS, Leapfrog, and hydrogeological databases; Access or SQL is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver hydrogeological investigations and project scopes, managing schedules and resources.
• Lead field investigations including groundwater and surface water sampling, drilling, and water-level monitoring.
• Analyze and interpret data; develop hydrographs, maps, and gradient calculations.
• Develop and refine conceptual hydrogeological models and assess data gaps and uncertainties.
• Prepare technical reports, work plans, proposals, and data summaries with QA/QC.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate client and project communications.
• Support business development through proposals and methodologies.
• Champion health & safety across field and office work.
