Job Overview
Prosegur Security is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and customer service–focused Unarmed Security Officer to support security operations and Global Identification Services.
This position combines physical security responsibilities, including patrols and access control, with administrative and identification services duties. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service, strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work confidently with multiple security and office systems.
Officers must maintain a professional appearance at all times and adhere to all company grooming, uniform, client, and site standards.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols to identify and deter safety hazards, security risks, and unauthorized access.
- Manage access control points, including gate operations, badge checks, and verification of authorized entry.
- Assist with identification, credentialing, badging, and access control processes as required.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain security and identification records.
- Utilize security and access control systems, including C-CURE, Quantum Secure SAFE, and SAP.
- Utilize Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, to complete daily administrative responsibilities.
- Observe and promptly report suspicious activity, incidents, safety hazards, or security concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, records, and documentation of daily activities and incidents.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Respond promptly, professionally, and calmly to emergencies, disturbances, and client requests.
- Follow all established site and company procedures and comply with client and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with the security team, Global Identification Services, site management, and other departments.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive employee, visitor, identification, and access information.
- Consistently maintain a clean, professional appearance and comply with company grooming and uniform standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a valid California Security Guard License (Guard Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of security experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to operate a company vehicle.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Experience or working knowledge of security and administrative systems, including but not limited to C-CURE, Quantum Secure SAFE, and SAP.
- Data entry experience with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service skills are required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a professional office and security environment.
- Ability and willingness to learn and confidently operate multiple security systems with provided training.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, including in varying weather conditions.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Physical Abilities
- Must have normal hearing.
- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, and perform physical security duties as required.
- Must be able to sit and work at a computer monitor for extended periods of time.
- Vision must be correctable to 20/40 or better.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
