Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly self-motivated Global Homeland Security Sales Manager to drive growth of our low to mid-resolution handheld devices. This role will engage with Homeland Security customers and provide technical sales support for our innoRIID product lines. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective deployment and utilization of our Homeland Security products to enhance national security. Primary markets will be the U.S. and European markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Account Management: Oversee select territory customers, maintaining an in-depth understanding of their activities and product needs.
  • New Business Development: Hunt new new business opportunities and own submittal of tender responses.
  • Relationship Development: Foster and maintain key relationships within the customer community.
  • Collaboration: Work with Business Development and Product Management to identify and grow additional account opportunities. Work with the AMT Marketing team to develop campaigns for target markets and customers. Provide interface between the factory and customer
  • Sales Planning: Participate in setting territory sales plans and be accountable for achieving results.
  • Data Management: Maintain and manage customer contact and sales forecasting data for the territory.
  • Territory Coordination: Collaborate with other territory managers globally, to develop accounts that span geographical boundaries. Leverage contacts in the region to opportunistically drive sales for other AMT Business Entities.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical applications support and direct sales to customers.
  • Reporting: Provide monthly forecasts and weekly updates to the Global Homeland Security Sales Manager.
  • Problem Solving: Identify barriers to business and work towards solutions to overcome them.
  • Customer Service: Ensure all customer problems or complaints are resolved quickly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field, or equivalent relevant technical experience.
  • Minimum of four years of technical selling or direct customer-interactive technical support for Homeland Security products including handheld RIIDs, portable detectors, portal monitors and SPRDs,
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective presentation skills and the ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of introductory algebra and geometry.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams and possessing team leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 50-60% of the time).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with handheld RIIDs, portable detectors, portal monitors and SPRDs required.
  • Understanding of government funding and procurement cycles for Homeland Security products. Intimate knowledge of tender process and visibility into new business opportunities expected. Existing network of industry and customer (i.e. NNSA, NSDD) contacts preferred.
  • Background in law enforcement, military service, or Homeland Security products.
  • Experience with software programs such as SalesForce.com, and PowerPoint.

Compensation

Employee Type: Salaried

Salary Minimum: $145,000

Salary Maximum: $180,000

Incentive: 1288
