MANTECH seeks a motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our vehicle sustainment team at Fort Hood, Texas. The selected candidate will support maintenance for multiple vehicle families globally under the ALECS program.

Responsibilities include designing, repairing and evaluating mechanical systems, assisting technicians, and ensuring conformance with engineering design and customer specs. Must be US citizen and capable of obtaining a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 6 years of automotive maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in maintenance operations including repair of commercial or military equipment.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and have a valid driver's license for the work location.

Responsabilités

• Research, plans, designs and develops new electro-mechanical applications.
• Review standards and specs to determine mechanical engineering requirements.
• Design, repair or review gas/diesel engines and related systems to meet specs.
