Job summary

Global Health Strategies (GHS) is hiring a Senior Associate in New York to serve as the engine of client work across communications, advocacy, and project management. You will support two or more client accounts, drive deliverables, and manage key client interactions with entrepreneurial energy and a focus on impact.

We seek writers/editors who can craft clear messages, coordinate across teams, and help develop the next generation of GHS talent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-6 years of related work experience
• Exceptional writing ability
• Microsoft Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Producing strategic communications materials from crisp strategies and persuasive pitch decks to narratives around key issues
• Making complex concepts accessible and actionable to a wide audience by creating and polishing key messages, fact sheets, social posts and digital materials
• Thinking like a journalist to identify what makes a strong story and craft pitches and press materials for reporters
• Elevating the voice of high-level influencers by polishing opinion pieces, prepping for interviews and drafting speeches and talking points
• Following and tracking trends in media coverage and high-level conversations impacting global health challenges
• Identifying strategic moments and new champions to influence stakeholders and amplify goals
• Coordinating with partners for message alignment and relationship management
• Owning major deliverables within high-level events, including identifying invitees and speakers
• Building coalitions of support through outreach and relationship management
• Tracking trends in global health policies and funding
• Keeping tabs on moving pieces of the project in fast-paced environments
• Leading components of client calls and meetings
• Providing strategic counsel across global health and development contexts
• Coaching staff on writing and client-facing interactions
• Increasing efficiency, including through use of AI
• Attending events and meetings on behalf of clients
