We're seeking a future team member for the role of Global Head of Sanctions Program Management and Oversight to join our Risk & Compliance team. This role is located in New York, New York - HYBRID.


In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:


  1. Manage a compliance team that reviews and actions OFAC, OFSI, and EU economic sanctions alert escalations.
  2. Identify, document, and escalate sanctions regulatory and/or internal control-related risks to internal governance committees.
  3. Develop and oversee policies and procedures related to sanctions compliance.
  4. Design and implement training programs for sanctions compliance.
  5. Track and report metrics and other governance indicators.
  6. Administer ESOS, SLMF, and other sanctions governance forums.
  7. Manage issue resolution related to sanctions alerts.
  8. Coordinate regulatory exams and audits.
  9. Lead regulatory remediations and uplift initiatives.
  10. Conduct risk assessments related to sanctions compliance.
  11. Perform other strategy or program oversight as needed by the Global Head/FCC head.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

The ideal candidate will manage a team of compliance professionals responsible for reviewing and providing guidance on L2 escalated economic sanctions client and transaction alerts, determining permissibility pursuant to OFAC, OFSI, and EU sanctions laws and regulations.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher accreditation.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products/services and transactions, including SWIFT, payments, securities, trade finance.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • At least 10 years of sanctions experience, particularly in OFAC, OFSI, and EU sanctions laws and regulations.

Our market data assessment ensures a competitive salary package. The expected base salary for this position is between $136,500 and $300,000 per year at the start of employment. The final salary will be determined based on experience, market location, and other factors. The total compensation package may include bonuses, incentives, and benefits. This position is at-will, and the company reserves the right to modify compensation at any time based on performance and market conditions.
