Over 90% of global trade depends on ships, and the 2 million mission-critical seafarers who operate them spend months at sea to keep our economy running. At Tilla, we’re dedicated to improving their lives and the processes that support them. Our platform eliminates inefficiencies in crew logistics, streamlining collaboration between operators and seafarers. By doing so, we make crew operations more humane and efficient.

We are an early stage SaaS start-up that brings maritime workforce management into the 21st century! We are equipped with a strong support of investors and several paying customers – and care deeply about people. We are passionate about solving the maritime industry’s overlooked problems. Over 90% of global trade sails on ships and the 2 million mission critical seafarers spend months at sea to ensure that our global economy runs smoothly. We are starting our journey by focusing on solutions that improve the crew management and crew exchange process.

Our first product targets one of the industry's key pain points. Wildly inefficient and notoriously stressful, crew logistics is a complex mesh of repurposed tools. By leveraging a variety of data sources, Tilla’s platform eliminates many mundane and error prone processes, while facilitating collaboration between operators and seafarers. By doing so, Tilla makes crew ops more humane and efficient.

Your mission

As a Head of Global Sales at Tilla, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth journey, building a global sales operation across key markets. You'll work directly with the founders, and further establish Tilla as a leader in the maritime software industry. Your focus will be on driving sales initiatives, building and running a high performing sales organization by innovating and iterating a structured and effective playbook, that ultimately drive Tilla towards ambitious revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high performing sales organisation across Europe and APAC, owning Tilla's revenue goals
  • Develop and execute enterprise sales strategies and playbooks to penetrate target markets, customer segments, and drive customer acquisition.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships that drive revenue
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially Customer Success, to ensure smooth customer onboarding and post-sales support.
  • Represent Tilla at industry events, conferences, and seminars to showcase our solution.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of our sales processes and strategies.

You...

  • have a proven track record (6+ years) of driving revenue growth in an enterprise B2B software sales environment, and have succeeded in closing six-figure ACV deals with long and complex cycles.
  • have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the gravitas and credibility to succeed in enterprise sales
  • have led and matured sales functions, and developed sales playbooks in an early stage / growth-stage environment.
  • have strong presentation and negotiation abilities, coupled with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • have experience working in a remote/hybrid setup, and managing a sales pipeline effectively.
  • have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

  • have a structured approached and a clear sales philosophy, but understand the importance of keeping things simple and flexible
  • have a good sense of humour and are great team player
