Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking an Executive Director of Project Management to oversee financial performance and strategic execution across global projects. You will guide planning, budgeting, and sponsor relationships while leading a high‑impact PM team in a fast-paced CRO environment.

The role requires a life sciences degree or equivalent, 12+ years in clinical/pharma project management, and proven leadership in a global matrix setting. Travel domestically and internationally is expected.

Qualifications

University degree in life sciences or related field; certification in allied health preferred.
Minimum of 12 years in global clinical/pharmaceutical industry with project management experience.
Experience leading staff in a global, matrix environment.
Proven ability to drive teams and budgets across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Oversee overall project financial performance across all departments.
Oversee development, implementation and adherence to project plans and performance indicators.
Conduct budget reviews and provide financial analysis support.
Review and approve strategy, content, and costing of new business proposals.
Identify resource needs for new projects.
Meet resource management and utilization targets for staff.
Serve as primary contact with sponsor networks under alliance partnerships.
Lead sub-therapeutic groups and manage Project Management Team direction.
Develop and maintain sponsor relationships and communications.
Ensure deliverables meet sponsor and company expectations.
Participate in company initiatives as directed by leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
