Hamilton Lane Incorporated is seeking a Head of Application Engineering in Conshohocken, PA to lead a global engineering organization across application engineering, DevOps, and QA for the Cobalt platform. You will shape engineering strategy, drive end-to-end delivery, and ensure high availability for a SaaS product serving internal and external users.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of experience in software development or related technology leadership roles.
Proven success leading engineering teams responsible for SaaS platforms, with scale and availability expectations.

Responsibilities

Lead a global, multi-disciplinary engineering organization across application engineering, DevOps/platform operations, QA engineering and testing.
Own end-to-end engineering execution for Cobalt, including delivery, reliability, quality, and operating discipline.
Set engineering direction with product and executive leadership, aligning priorities, architecture, and delivery plans.
Provide leadership on architecture, SDLC, quality practices, release discipline, and production operations.
Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams across onshore, offshore, in-office, and hybrid environments.
Mentor senior contributors to create clarity, accountability, transparency, and execution rigor.
Expand team scope to support development around and beyond core Cobalt product as priorities evolve.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to manage expectations, communicate progress, and deliver strong outcomes.
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high standards.
Work with leaders to ensure scale, stability, and budget-conscious tech decisions.
