Our Global Litigation Team provides key support for TikTok and the family of related products. We empower innovation by delivering integrated legal guidance that supports our business teams in achieving their boldest ambitions. The Global Litigation team is responsible for managing high-stakes litigation and disputes across all regions.

We are seeking an exceptional senior litigator to serve as Global Head of Litigation, leading a high-performing team responsible for some of the most complex and high-profile disputes facing the company. This role offers the opportunity to shape and drive the companies' global litigation strategy, partnering closely with cross-functional leaders to navigate legal and reputational risks in a dynamic and fast-moving environment. It is a key position on the leadership team, reporting directly to the General Counsel, and it sits at the forefront of some of the most consequential legal challenges in the tech industry today.

Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of the company's global litigation portfolio, including complex commercial, regulatory, class action, and other high-stakes matters across global jurisdictions.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, delivering clear, business-savvy counsel on litigation exposure, risk, and dispute resolution.
- Define and drive a cohesive global litigation strategy that protects the company's interests while enabling innovation and growth.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of litigators across multiple geographies.
- Represent the company in key legal proceedings including depositions, mediations, settlement negotiations, and court hearings.
- Collaborate with leaders across Legal, Government Relations, Communications, Compliance, and other business functions to align litigation strategies with broader company objectives and reputational considerations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with a strong academic record
- Admitted to practice in New York or California, or eligible for in-house registration in one of these states
- Significant litigation experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at a global tech or media company
- Proven track record managing complex, high-stakes litigation in global, matrixed organizations
- Expertise across multiple legal domains, including commercial litigation, data privacy, IP, antitrust, platform liability, employment law, and First Amendment issues
- Global perspective and comfort operating in international legal and regulatory environments

Preferred Qualifications:
- Strategic thinker with uncompromising integrity and sound judgment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience advising senior leadership and external partners

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $320000 - $492800 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
