Job summary

PTC Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Clinical Development to guide the clinical/medical aspects of drug development.

You will ensure CDPs and trials meet GCP standards and align with regulatory, clinical, and commercial goals, while leading cross-functional teams and external partnerships. You will oversee trial design, data interpretation, and external communications, with travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• MD degree and at least 5 years of clinical drug development experience.
• Experience leading large, multi-country clinical development programs.
• Knowledge of early- and late-phase drug development and regulatory processes.
• Ability to lead/oversee clinical trial design and interpretation of clinical data.
• Hands-on experience with regulatory submissions.
• Ability to influence without direct authority.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead global clinical development strategy for assigned indication.
• Lead design of CDPs and ensure they enable clinical and commercial objectives; provide clinical input to cross-functional teams.
• Manage relationships with CROs and other partners; monitor budgets and contracts.
• Medically responsible for clinical studies.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to support CDPs, regulatory submissions and development goals.
• Ensure adherence to GCP and regulatory standards.
• Represent the Clinical Development team in meetings with external collaborators.
• Mentor direct reports and perform other tasks as needed.
