Job summary

Wood Mackenzie Inc. is seeking a Global Head of Large Load and Grid Transformation Research to lead research and strategy on data centers, electrification, and emerging power demand across the Power & Renewables practice.

You will define the research agenda, guide AI-enabled modeling, and own commercial outcomes while collaborating with sales, marketing, and product teams to translate insights into market-leading offerings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the power industry with at least 3 focused on data centers.
• Experience in research or consulting plus hands-on data center interconnection work.
• Deep understanding of data center trends, challenges, and opportunities.
• Experience executing commercial strategies across marketing, sales, or product teams.
• Strong problem-solving and AI-forward thinking.
• Excellent writing and public speaking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the large load research agenda across data centers and related sectors.
• Lead modeling covering costs, revenue, and long-term load forecasts.
• Drive AI adoption to improve research accuracy and efficiency.
• Take commercial ownership of large load intelligence research and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and leadership for strategy and execution.
