Job summary

SonicWall, a cybersecurity leader, seeks a Senior Director of Hardware/Architecture to lead global hardware development, including servers, firewalls, and security appliances. You will partner with software, product, finance, and operations to align hardware strategy with business goals and drive execution across cross-geo teams with JDM/ODM partners.

You will influence architecture decisions, manage power/thermal/mechanical trade-offs, and mentor senior engineers while shaping the hardware

Qualifications

• BS degree in EE or CE with 15+ years of technical experience.
• 10+ years of technical & people leadership experience.
• Experience designing hardware products and architecture.
• Experience driving hardware development in internal and JDM/ODM models.
• Ability to interact with executives and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead a global HW engineering team.
• Collaborate with Software & Product to define architecture and hardware decisions.
• Evaluate trade-offs in manufacturing, reliability and quality.
• Guide hardware development across board and system design, power, SI, ECAD, mech/thermal, validation, and compliance.
• Provide visibility to executives on performance and risks; drive hiring and resourcing.
