Job summary

Straits Meridian Capital Office (SMCO) is seeking a Principal Researcher to deliver macro and geopolitical analysis with primary coverage across East Asia, Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe. This remote freelance role informs capital allocation decisions across infrastructure and technology-adjacent domains.

You will produce 2–4 decision-grade reports per month, monitor geopolitical developments, analyze regional security, and translate complex politics into investment implications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a relevant analytical or research role.
• Strong written English for senior decision-makers.
• Deep regional expertise in geopolitics and macro policy.
• Ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
