Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a Food Safety Management Systems Lead to drive world-class standards across its global network of manufacturing sites. You will partner with Quality, Manufacturing, R&D and Corporate teams to strengthen capabilities and ensure consistent safety practices across our Pet Nutrition units and Innovation Centres.

The role requires leading governance, implementing continuous improvements, and coordinating external audits.

Qualifications

Strong experience implementing and maintaining Food Safety Management Systems across manufacturing sites.
Auditing experience in HACCP, ISO 22000, or FSSC 22000 environments.
Excellent communication, facilitation and coaching skills to drive governance and training.

Responsibilities

Lead the global deployment and continuous improvement of FSSC 22000 across Mars Petcare Nutrition Divisions.
Drive compliance with Food Safety Management standards, HACCP, GMP, Food Fraud and Food Defence programmes.
Monitor food safety performance, identify risks, and implement robust action plans.
Develop and document food safety standards aligned with regulatory and business needs.
Coordinate external audits and technical assessments.
Build capability through training and safety community leadership.
Partner on digital transformations that enhance compliance and effectiveness.
